In July of 2016, I started a blogging website on wordpress. I clearly set my intention to my non-existent reader as follows:

I am starting this blog with the intent of strengthening my writing and social media skills, and to track the evolution of my personal development over time. Really this is a diary that I am willing to share with others. It should be noted and respected that my personal development is fluid. Thus, the words written within this blogging website reflect my thinking at the time of writing, which I can only hope, will flourish over time.

Reflecting back, I am proud of the content I published over the course of a few years. My first ever post, published on July 16, 2016, was the “Western Political Shit Storm that needs Overhauling”. I went on to write about studying as a doctoral student, philosophy (challenging two great thinkers — David Silverman and Elon Mask), life as an empowered feminist with a killer feMANist life partner, and various political causes in which I was actively and passionately engaged.

I have come to yet another moment of wanting to clarify my intentions and self-express with confidence and ease. This time across all social media platforms.

On Instagram, I have been particularly unintentional to date. While I’ve intentionally been practising and playing with developing my creative communication skills, I’m ready to take defining myself to the next level. I think the key is to set my intention in all that I do and to confidently play with the telling of my story.

From now on, I am committing to setting my intention in all that I share on social media. The intention is to strengthen my ability to tell authentic stories, and to track the evolution of my personal development over time. Reiterating what I said in the creation of my blogging website, really what you’ll see is a diary that I am willing to share with others. It should be noted and respected that my personal development is fluid. Thus, the way I self express across social media reflects my thinking at the time, which I can only hope, will flourish as I grow.
